Before going any further with this teaching regarding praising God, it’s imperative that we try to settle a clear distinction between praise and worship, even though there’s strong bond between both of them. While they are similar to each other in several ways; however, they are not exactly the same thing in essence.
God has made us for the sole purpose of totally depending on Him, serving Him, having an intimate relationship with Him, doing His will, and lastly for His own glory. Our entire physical being is consisted of a non-life material called the dust of the ground. As mentioned in this post, what you really have when God has breathed the breath of life into man according to the account of (Genesis 2:7) is a marvelous and powerful transformation that occurred. The dust of the ground was instantly converted into flesh, blood, and bones. Man then became a living being fully equipped with God-given potentials.
Disobedience or rebellion against God is a sinful act that the Bible has plenty to say about. In fact, we are in the huge mess we find ourselves in today because of Adam’s and Eve’s disobedience. First, the Word of God defines sin as transgression of the law of God according to (1 John 3:4) along with rebellion against God according to (Deuteronomy 9:7; Joshua 1:18). Sin is based entirely on plain disobedience or rebellion. Disobedience is refusing to do what God has commanded, or doing what God has forbidden. With this in mind, Satan is the author of disobedience.
